Nearly
Before you met, your paths crossed. Nearly finds the times you were close, from the photos already on both your iPhones.

Frequently asked questions
How does it work?
Each of you scans your own photo library. Nearly reads only the date and place of each photo and turns them into a small "trace". You swap traces, by showing each other a QR code or sending a file, and each phone looks for the moments you were in the same place at about the same time.
Do my photos get uploaded anywhere?
No. Nearly has no accounts and no servers. Your photos never leave your iPhone. The trace you send to your partner goes straight from your phone to theirs, with places rounded to about 100 m and times to the minute. See the privacy policy.
We only found a few moments, or none.
Nearly can only see places where one of you took a photo with location turned on. A few things help:
Allow access to all photos (Settings → Nearly → Photos → Full Access). If you chose "Limited Access", Nearly only sees the photos you picked.
Make sure both of you have Location Services turned on for the Camera app, and that older photos are downloaded from iCloud Photos.
Widen what counts as "nearly" in Nearly's Settings, for example 500 m and 2 hours.
The QR code won't scan.
Turn the screen showing the code to full brightness, hold the phones about 20–30 cm apart, and keep the camera steady until the ring fills. The code is animated, so it needs a few seconds. You can also send your trace as a file with Send, then open it on the other phone.
Can we see each other's photos from those moments?
Yes, if you both want to. In your story, tap Swap photos, choose which of your photos to send, and send them the same way you sent your trace. Nothing is shared unless you choose it.
What does Nearly Pro include?
Every moment in full, with places and photos, the map, the animated replay and photo swaps. Without it you still get your count, your stats, your closest call, your first moment and the share card. It's a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and with Family Sharing one purchase covers both of you.
I bought Pro but it's locked on a new or reset iPhone.
Open Settings in Nearly (the gear on the home screen) and tap Restore Purchases, signed in with the same Apple Account you bought it with.
How do I remove my partner's trace?
Settings → Remove (their name). That deletes their trace and any photos they sent you from your iPhone. Deleting the app deletes everything.
